This 132kV power transformer project was developed for a steel plant substation in Seville, Spain. Large industrial facilities—particularly electric arc furnace steel mills—require transformer systems with exceptional supply reliability, short-circuit withstand capability, and resilience to fluctuating loads.
Our engineering team designed the transformer for these demanding operating conditions using advanced magnetic-field and short-circuit-force analysis. A reinforced winding arrangement and specialized clamping process were applied to improve mechanical stability during repeated high-impact load cycles. The electrical design also considered harmonic effects commonly associated with heavy industrial operations.
Since entering service, the transformer has provided stable power support for the plant’s continuous production process. The project demonstrates our ability to engineer robust, application-specific transformer solutions for high-demand industrial facilities in Europe.
